Australia to launch first round of $34.25m clean energy supply chain grants

Half of the total funding is allocated to the first batch of projects. Australia will open the first round of applications in November 2024 for its Quad Clean Energy Supply Chain Diversification Program. Up to $17.12m (A$25m) will be available under the initial round, and grants will be between $68,493 and $1.71m (A$100k and A$2.5m). It said this in a statement.

The commitment totals $34.25m (A$50m) under the Australian Government. The funding will contribute to research and development projects and feasibility studies on securing diverse supply chains for solar photovoltaic, hydrogen electrolyser, and battery suppliers. The department said projects need to be delivered as joint projects between Australian and Indo-Pacific organizations. A second round of applications is anticipated to open in the second half of 2025.
