Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) India has named Kartik Goel as Managing Director within its business transformation services practice, reinforcing the firm's commitment to delivering hands-on procurement and supply chain expertise to clients across the region.

Goel brings a strong track record of driving large-scale procurement and supply chain transformations across India and the United States. His areas of expertise span cost transformation, operating model redesign, strategic sourcing, end-to-end process improvement, logistics and network strategy, and digital procurement. Throughout his career, he has focused on translating operational diagnostics into tangible, measurable profit and loss impact — a capability that is increasingly critical as organizations face mounting pressure to demonstrate financial returns from operational investments.

Among his past engagements, Goel has led procurement cost reduction and operating model redesign initiatives for footwear manufacturers and retailers, executed MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) cost reduction programs for a global food and beverage company, and conducted end-to-end operations diagnostics for a used-car retailer in the United States. He has also contributed to the development of a digital twin strategy for a quick-service restaurant chain, illustrating his ability to marry operational rigor with emerging digital tools.

Before joining A&M, Goel served as a Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he led operations and supply chain engagements across both North America and India.

He also held the role of North America Operations Pipeline Lead at BCG, giving him deep exposure to complex, cross-border supply chain challenges and client-facing leadership at scale.

Himanshu Bajaj, Managing Director and Head of A&M India and GCC, underscored the strategic significance of the appointment. "Procurement and supply chain functions are becoming central to driving efficiency, resilience, and measurable financial outcomes. Clients are seeking partners who can move beyond strategy to execution. Kartik's experience in driving cost transformation and operational improvements will be instrumental in strengthening our capabilities and delivering sustained impact," Bajaj said.

Speaking on his new role, Goel highlighted the growing complexity organizations face in their operations and the opportunity this presents. "Organisations are increasingly focused on optimising costs, managing complexity, and embedding digital and AI capabilities into their operations. A&M's hands-on, execution-led approach provides a strong platform to translate strategy into results. I look forward to working with clients to build more agile, data-driven supply chains and deliver lasting value," he said.

The appointment signals A&M India's broader push to deepen its bench strength in supply chain and procurement consulting at a time when these functions are gaining boardroom-level attention. With businesses navigating global disruptions, shifting sourcing strategies, and the rapid adoption of digital and AI tools, the demand for advisors who can bridge the gap between strategic planning and on-the-ground execution has never been higher.
