The Joint Collector announced that ragi procurement centres have been established at Rythu Seva Kendras and will operate through Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS). These centres are set up to support farmers who cultivated ragi during the current rabi season and registered their crop details on the e-Crop platform.
To ease the process for farmers, the State government will cover expenses related to gunny bags, loading, and transportation. This move aims to reduce the financial burden on farmers and ensure smooth procurement.
Farmers who have not yet registered their crops are advised to contact their local village agricultural assistants for assistance in completing the registration.
The Joint Collector encouraged all eligible farmers to make use of this opportunity to secure a fair price for their produce, rather than selling at reduced rates in the open market.
