Hon Hai Precision Industry (Foxconn), a key Apple supplier, is investing $1.5 billion in its Indian operations to strengthen electronic supply chain management and diversify iPhone manufacturing beyond China. As per a London Stock Exchange filing, Foxconn’s Singapore-based unit will acquire 12.77 billion shares in Tamil Nadu-based Yuzhan Technology India at ₹10 per share, totaling ₹127.74 billion. Yuzhan manufactures electronic components and assembles iPhones, aligning with Apple’s broader SCM supply chain management strategy to reduce reliance on China.
