Trade through Akhaura land port to remain suspended for 4 days during Eid holidays

Import and export operations at the Akhaura land port, a critical node in port logistics in supply chain, will be suspended from 6 June to 9 June in observance of Eid-ul-Adha. The decision was jointly announced by the Akhaura Land Port Importers and Exporters Association and the C&F Agents Association. Despite the suspension of trade, cross-border passenger movement will continue during the holiday period. Md Shahnewaz Mia, joint general secretary of the Importers and Exporters Association, confirmed that formal notices have been sent to both Akhaura and Agartala port authorities. “Regular trade activities will resume on June 10,” he
