Another giant stride for the maritime sector of India was taken on November 4, 2024, as Union Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal  inaugurated several major projects at Chennai Port and Kamarajar Port. Under the total investment of Rs. 187.33 crore, these projects are related to making trade smoother and greener, which will lead to being an important part of India's flagship global trade mission. New EXIM Godowns: The construction of four new EXIM godowns at Chennai Port. With the investment of Rs 73.91 crore, this warehouse would provide an essential storage place for sensitive commodities like agro products and food grains, keeping them safe and clean.
