Bigbasket, a TATA Enterprise, has introduced BB Matrix, an all-in-one SaaS-based supply chain platform that provides businesses worldwide with total visibility throughout the whole supply chain.

According to a statement from the company, the new platform will let user organisations detect bottlenecks rapidly, receive real-time alerts, and make data-driven decisions to create robust supply chains.

The debut coincides with a period of strong worldwide demand for supply chain management software. A Gartner analysis projects that the yearly global spend on SCM software would increase at a compound annual growth rate of 16.3% from USD 29 billion in 2023 to USD 62 billion in 2028.

According to the company, "the SaaS based solution's cutting-edge solutions have made it possible to reduce transportation costs by nearly 50%, lower lead times by about 60%, and ensure up to 100% supply chain visibility."

Leading the charge is Bigbasket's co-founder and CEO, Hari Menon, together with chief product and technology officer Rakshit Daga. According to reports, BB Matrix can provide the next generation of supply chain solutions the industry needs to reduce costs and boost efficiency.

In response to the increasing need for flexible, reliable, and economical supply chains, we have extended the use of BB Matrix to businesses in industries other than e-commerce and retail, such as consumer products, manufacturing, automotive, and aviation. This platform integrates AI-driven automation and improved visibility from the first to the last mile, and it is the result of more than ten years of supply chain excellence at BigBasket, according to Rakshit Daga, CPTO & Head of SaaS Business at BigBasket. It has demonstrated scalability to handle up to 15 million monthly transactions.

He continued, "BB Matrix is a comprehensive SaaS platform that enables end-to-end transformation of supply chains with its warehouse management system (WMS), transport management system (TMS), and order management system (OMS).

"BB Matrix provides comprehensive ongoing support that encompasses configuration and optimisation, seamless data integration with over 150 ERP, CRM, and POS tools, and flawless migration as well to its customers," said Manish Mishra, Head of Sales & Marketing at BB Matrix, in response to the development.

He went on to say that Tata BB Matrix is able to provide its solutions in global markets, including those in the US, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
